HISTORY OF CARNELIAN
Carnelian comes from areas of intense tectonic activity, such as volcanoes or hot springs.
The intensity of the natural stone's color depends on its iron oxide content. The more iron oxide it contains, the more vivid the hue.
This stone, whose shade evokes sunrise and sunset, is often associated with Dionysus.
It is an ancient stone that has been described since the time of the Egyptians. According to sources, genuine carnelian was used as a gift for the funerary goddess Isis to accompany the dead on their journey to the afterlife.
